Viscoelastic tests assess global hemostatic function and are sensitive to coagulopathies but remian to be underutilized in the field of pregnancy and peripartum. Furthermore, the awarness of its applications in bleeding and thrombosis require attenstion. Despite the availability of preganncy specific ref ranges, and mulitple published research, there is poor consensus on applications in pregnancy and postpartum. In this session, we will review the current knowledge and most recent evidence on the useful applications of VTE in this field and future directions.
